PROGRAMME OF STUDY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Pupils should be given the opportunity to:
- learn about some of the key beliefs Christians may share;
- learn about aspects of Christian worship, both personal and corporate;
- learn about the life Christians lead as members of a Christian group or community;
- learn about some differences between Christian denominations;
- investigate the qualities that might be demonstrated by Christian believers and relate them to their own experiences of life
WHERE THIS UNIT FITS IN
This unit is designed for Year 6 - Autumn Term. It connects with units 1, 7, 10, 11 and 12 in dealing with aspects of human identity and experience, and with units 2, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in dealing with aspects of religious practices and lifestyles.

B4 Search for specific areas of the life and practices of two local churches to discover what makes them different or makes them similar and to describe the significance of these to believers;
B5 To identify some of the principal features of religious practice in an Anglican and a Baptist church and explain how these have an impact on the lives of believers.
D3 Compare aspects of their own experiences or ideas about God with those of others;
D4 Ask a range of questions about Christian identity and experience and suggest appropriate answers.;
D3 Describe the function of key aspects of Christian life in relation to worship;
